Bridgetown, Barbados | 18 August 2026 — The Barbados Tridents are delighted to announce the renewal of their partnership with Guardian Life of The Caribbean Limited, a subsidiary of Guardian Group, ahead of the 2026 Caribbean Premier League season. The partnership, now in its second year, reflects a shared commitment to Caribbean excellence, community development and the growth of cricket across the region.
Built on a heritage dating back to 1847, Guardian Life of The Caribbean Limited is the largest life insurance provider in the region. Operating across the English and Dutch Caribbean, Guardian Life of The Caribbean provides integrated financial services including life, health and pension insurance to individuals and organisations.
The partnership comes at a landmark moment for the Barbados franchise, which this year returns to its Tridents name, reconnecting the team with its Barbadian identity and national pride. The 2026 squad brings together world-class international talent including Quinton de Kock, Gudakesh Motie and Captain Chris Green, alongside an emerging core of Barbadian stars in Ramon Simmonds, Zachary Carter and Zishan Motara. The Tridents take centre stage at Kensington Oval, with an exciting home leg featuring five men's and three women's fixtures from 5th to 13th September.
Gregg Mannette, Vice President Sales, Guardian Life of The Caribbean Limited, expressed that Guardian Life of The Caribbean is delighted to reaffirm its association with the Tridents franchise.
Our commitment to the people and communities of the Caribbean extends beyond insurance; it is about investing in initiatives that bring us together, celebrating our talent and contributing to the continued growth and strength of our region. Cricket is more than a game, it creates memorable experiences and reflects the passion, pride and shared identity that define the Caribbean. We are proud to support the Tridents and to journey with them in their pursuit of a successful CPL season.
John Mumby, Chief Operating Officer, Barbados Tridents, added:
Guardian Life of The Caribbean Limited has been a fantastic long-term partner to the Tridents. We sincerely appreciate their continuing support and are excited to be building on that foundation in 2026. This season is about much more than cricket; it's about what the Barbados Tridents means for this island and its people and Guardian Life of The Caribbean shares that vision completely. We look forward to a memorable season together, both on and off the field.
