Despite Quinton de Kock's valiant effort with the bat, the Tridents' defense was dismantled by a stellar Maaz Sadaqat century that powered the Kingsmen to victory.
The Tridents found themselves in early trouble as they faced disciplined bowling from the Kingsmen. Brandon King was dismissed in the very first over, and Andre Russell capitalized on the shaky start by removing Kevlon Anderson and Zachary Carter in quick succession.
While wickets tumbled around him, Quinton de Kock stood firm for the Tridents, crafting a well-paced 71 off 49 balls. His innings featured two maximums and five boundaries, forming a crucial 114-run partnership with Chris Green.
Chris Green provided support to de Kock and remained unbeaten with a composed 57. Despite their partnership, the Tridents managed only a modest total of 144/6, which proved inadequate against the Kingsmen's batting power.
The Kingsmen's chase was dominated by Maaz Sadaqat, who delivered an explosive innings of 112 off just 49 balls. With 8 maximums and 9 boundaries to his name, Sadaqat was relentless, forging a 138-run opening stand with Kirk McKenzie.
